In order to improve company performance in the coming years, airline Sriwijaya Air has collaborated with five strategic partners under the auspices of Garuda Indonesia. This collaboration was officially signed on Monday, January 14, 2019 in the auditorium of the Garuda Indonesia headquarters located in the Soekarno Hatta Airport area, Cengkareng.
After running effectively, in the future some of Sriwijaya Air's flight operations will be managed by its partners. In the case of Ground Handling Service, in the future Sriwijaya Air will give trust to PT Gapura Angkasa. And for passenger consumption services and souvenir sales during flights, Sriwijaya Air appoints PT Aerofood Indonesia, better known as Aero Catering Service (ACS) as its manager.
On the other hand, PT Aerotrans Service Indonesia will manage all transportation of pilots and Sriwijaya Air cabin crew. PT Aero Globe Indonesia, also known as Aerotravel, will become the Sriwijaya Air distribution channel in travel and leisure. And for the last, namely cargo handling, Sriwijaya Air will entrust its operations to PT Aerojasa Cargo or Aero Express.
Sriwijaya Air's Managing Director Joseph Adriaan Saul said that this collaboration was a strategic step that was believed to improve the quality of service to customers as well as an effort to improve the efficiency and optimization of the company.
"With the support of five Garuda Indonesia Group business units at the same time, we are optimistic that in 2019 Sriwijaya Air can improve the quality of its services. In line with that, we are optimistic that we can achieve positive results from the business side as well as our contribution in the development of the Indonesian aviation world, "said Joseph Saul.
With this collaboration, in the future Sriwijaya Air also hopes to be able to follow the steps of Garuda Indonesia, which won the title of Skytrax in terms of services and IOSA certification in terms of safety.
